Cast your mind back to a time when you had to wire in a plug yourself whenever you bought a small electrical appliance. Not only was it a nuisance but it was a domestic health hazard too. These days the plug is already safely installed when you buy your gadgets - and it’s all thanks to work done by
Clare Communications.

Clare was hired by the Pencon Division of the Volex Group to lobby MPs about the issue and call for a change in legislation to make pre-wired plugs mandatory on all new electrical appliances.
